ALL SEASONS ALL YEAR ROUND (OFF, PRE, IN SEASON)

ALL SEASONS ALL YEAR ROUND PROGRAM

(OFF, PRE, IN SEASON)

Catch N Pass offers year round programs for all players. These programs are split into 3 major periods of the rugby season; Off Season, Pre Season & In-Season.

The Off Season is a 6-8 week program where players can work on developing the physical side of their games. There is no competition or training so this means players can fully focus on developing critical physical attributes that will aid them in athletic performance & prevention of injuries.

This period represents a time to increase lean mass lost throughout the season and increase body armour/ structural stability to stabilise their joints through specific strength training tailored to each player.

A big focus throughout this period is building a solid foundation (base) from which players can then start to progress both physically & mentally.

Pre-Season sees the introduction of specific skill development training to understanding the fundamentals of rugby with proper execution, some examples are: catch, pass, tackle tech, running lines, breakdown and much more.

Players can expect to cover the following e.g. running/ speed mechanical work, Change of direction and acceleration/ Deceleration & Conditioning work. All this will be in conjunction with their skill development work as well.

In the gym players will progress through their strength programs to include more power and speed development. A base level of strength will be maintained throughout the program to assist with athletic performance and injury prevention.

In-Season includes more positional specific work and constant learning to improve players Rugby IQ (Rugby Brain). Players will be exposed to more detailed coaching to understand the specifics around both attacking and defensive systems/structures.

Absolute clarity is the main goal within the In-season program, players can also expect to work on speed, strength & power training both in and outside the gym to stay in tip top condition.
